OCTOBER 23 PUBLIC HEARING AND PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD

The following, attached regulation was filed with the Legislative Research Commission:  

• 16 KAR 5:060. Literacy program requirements for middle school, high school, grades 5-12, and grades P-12 certification programs.

PUBLIC HEARING AND PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD: A public hearing on this proposed administrative regulation shall be held on October 23, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. in the State Board Room, Fifth Floor, 300 Sower Boulevard, Frankfort, Kentucky. Individuals interested in being heard at this meeting shall notify this agency in writing five working days prior to the hearing, of their intent to attend. If no notification of intent to attend the hearing is received by that date, the hearing may be canceled. This hearing is open to the public. Any person who wishes to be heard will be given an opportunity to comment on the proposed administrative regulation. A transcript of the public hearing will not be made unless a written request for a transcript is made. If you do not wish to be heard at the public hearing, you may submit written comments on the proposed administrative regulation. Written comments shall be accepted through October 31, 2023.

FEBRUARY 28 PUBLIC HEARING AND PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD

The following, attached regulation was filed with the Legislative Research Commission on December 15, 2023:  

• 16 KAR 4:020. Certification requirements for teachers of exceptional children.

PUBLIC HEARING AND PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD: A public hearing on this proposed administrative regulation shall be held on February 28, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. in the State Board Room, Fifth Floor, 300 Sower Boulevard, Frankfort, Kentucky. Individuals interested in being heard at this meeting shall notify this agency in writing five working days prior to the hearing, of their intent to attend. If no notification of intent to attend the hearing is received by that date, the hearing may be canceled. This hearing is open to the public. Any person who wishes to be heard will be given an opportunity to comment on the proposed administrative regulation. A transcript of the public hearing will not be made unless a written request for a transcript is made. APRIL 29 PUBLIC HEARING AND PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD

The following, attached regulations were filed with the Legislative Research Commission on February 15, 2024:  

• 16 KAR 2:120.Emergency Certification and Out-of-Field Teaching.
• 16 KAR 2:160. Probationary Certificate for Teachers of Exceptional Children.
• 16 KAR 4:030. Out-of-State Educator Preparation.

If no notification of intent to attend the hearing is received by that date, the hearing may be canceled. This hearing is open to the public.
